Dr Simon Bradstreet provides a range of assessment, content development and research supervision services for Higher Education. He brings extensive experience of having developed, taught and assessed learning across a variety of health and social care programmes at MSc level in top Universities.

Peer and lived experience approaches in health and social care are powerful when carefully developed and nourished. With over twenty years experience of developing, supporting and researching peer and lived experience approaches Simon offers expert development support to organisations with an interest in values driven, safe and effective peer support.

Mental Health Research Communications with the Mental Elf Service

As a Blog Coordinator with the Mental Elf Service I commission and edit blogs about mental health research. This involves identifying impactful and clinically relevant mental health research to share as a blog on the site. I also recruit and support a network of expert bloggers and advise on and edit blog content. I have responsibility for Coordination of five topic areas: Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis, Secondary Services, Complex emotional needs and Physical Health.

Teaching design, delivery and assessment with the Usher Institute, University of Edinburgh

Course support on the Evaluating digital transformation course as part of the MSc Leading Digital Transformation in Health and Care for Scotland programme. Working with the programme Academic Lead to design the course learning outcomes, structure, assessment, materials and related activities. Also contributing to assessment on wider courses provided by the Usher Institute including MSc Public Health Dissertations.

Other Consultancy and Associate Roles

I am pleased to be working with Penumbra Mental Health to support the dissemination of learning from their programmes.

Simon is an Associate Consultant with Matter of Focus contributing to theory driven evaluation of projects and programmes in the public and third sectors. Current work involves working with the National Council for Special Education in Ireland. Simon is also an Associate with Habitus Collective and is an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow.

Gestalt Coaching

I have completed ICF accredited Foundation level Gestalt Coaching with Kinharvie. I will complete advanced level training in December and am working toward becoming an ICF accredited and Gestalt oriented coach.
