Coaching with Collective Architecture
Collective Architecture is an employee-owned and award winning architectural practice, currently over 50-strong, working across studios in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Dundee. Since July 2025, I have had a rolling agreement to provide coaching to employees in Collective on a self-referral basis.


Evaluation of Peer Working in Fife HSCP Community Mental Health Teams
Habitus Collective UK are on a mission to drive meaningful change and community impact through research, evaluation and innovation. In my role as an Associate I contribute to their evaluation over three years of a new project to integrate Peer Working into Fife Health and Social Care Partnership Community Mental Health Teams, with Peer Workers employed by SAMH.


Consultancy Support for Research, Publications and Evaluation
Imroc exists outside of traditional systems to challenge and improve cultures and practices around mental health. I work with the Research and Publications Team as an Consultant on a number of topics including the review of peer support working, demystifying mental health research and building learning and development opportunities.


Science Communications with the Mental Elf Service
As a Blog Coordinator with the Mental Elf Service I commission and edit blogs about mental health research. This involves identifying impactful and clinically relevant mental health research to share on the site. I also recruit and support a network of expert bloggers and advise on and edit blog content. I have responsibility for Coordination of five topic areas: Bipolar Disorder, Digital approaches, Psychosis, Secondary Services and Complex emotional needs. Supporting peer and community research activities
Moray Wellbeing Hub CIC, work to improve mental health for Moray’s population. Funded through the Ideas Fund we are working to develop innovative community and peer-based approaches to research, currently focusing on the potential for digital tools in facilitating peer support in Moray. I also contribute a variety of community research and evaluation services to the UKRI funded Collaboration for Mental Wealth as required.


Peer Leadership Framework Evaluation
NHS Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV) has worked with partners to develop a Peer Leadership Framework. I have been commissioned to develop and implement an independent evaluation framework which is underway. Forthcoming work will focus on supporting the evaluation of peer support working.


Building the case for peer working in Scotland
Background research and summarising evidence for of a series evidence informed briefings to support the case for the development of peer support approaches in Scotland.


Aneurin Bevan University Health Board
Supporting a range of evaluation activities with the Peer Support Development Team in the Board. Activities will include advising and consulting on a developing evaluation framework and supporting qualitative evaluation activities.

Teaching design, delivery and assessment with the Usher Institute
Course support on the Evaluating digital transformation course as part of the MSc Leading Digital Transformation in Health and Care for Scotland programme at the University of Edinburgh. Working with the programme Academic Lead to design the course learning outcomes, structure, assessment, materials and related activities. Also contributed to assessment on wider courses provided by the Usher Institute including MSc Public Health Dissertations.
Client feedback
Simon contributed to the design, development and delivery of our Masters programme on leading digital transformation, particularly in the area of evaluation. His expertise in this area and deep understanding of the needs of practitioners and learners has been invaluable. Simon is also a joy to work with – he brings a thoughtful, creative and collaborative approach, excellent attention to detail and is extremely reliable.


Support for Research Impact Evaluation
Contracted to provide support the evaluation and progression of research impact harmonisation across the University of Glasgow. This has included designing and facilitating a workshop with research professional staff and writing up feedback and contributing to delivery and write up of a second workshop with senior University staff from across its Colleges.


Evaluation services in Penumbra
I have worked with Impact and Evaluation Leads in mental health social care provider, Penumbra, to support and advise on their evaluation activities and skills. This has included support for the dissemination of learning and expert input on peer support evaluation.


Support for Research Impact Evaluation
As an Associate Consultant with Matter of Focus I have contributed to theory driven evaluation of projects and programmes in the public and third sectors. Past work includes support for analysis and working support evaluation in the National Council for Special Education in Ireland.
